Party Funny Invitation

Subjective Spoil

Many years ago, of a tailor Cleveland met President Kennedy . The latter needed a dress, then went to what was called "The King of cloth" in the city. The tailor knew it was a unique opportunity to Kennedy and made the best dress imaginable. The President loves it and commissioned thirty.
After two days, the tailor, received a call from the White House : JFK wanted to know what he would ask to be his personal tailor! I would move to Washington with a full staff at your disposal. Of course such a thing unleashed the enthusiasm dell'ometto, which invested all of its capital to prepare thirty clothing and requested his removal.
Unfortunately, a few days later, in Dallas, Kennedy was killed.
Here began the trouble: there was NO signed contract (at the time JFK was light years away from scandals and Scandaletti ... it was without the slightest stain on a U.S. citizen, so I do not feel the confidence to blame the tailor), the White House began to not respond to her calls, completed almost thirty clothes were no longer because, in Washington, no one knew who that guy. It was the collapse financial and personal tailor for many years after he managed to recover and to practice his profession, of course no longer recover the prestige and fame he had acquired before the meeting with Kennedy.

Why is this story interesting? Why anyone hear tell this story can be found to consider it a nice diversion on JFK, one of those small and private affairs of great men who contribute to bringing down the bark " epic", bringing the level of the mere mortals ... but the few interpret it for what it is: the event that marked the whole life of the Tailor of Cleveland . This man has more resumed since then and for the rest of his life had come to terms with what had happened in 1963. Yet for those who may have found this story on this blog the main instinct was to give it the classification of "minor story" on President Kennedy. It is probably a normal thing: JFK is a character that instinctively seems suitable to embody the "protagonist " the tailor dreamer seems born to play the " supporting actor." Unfortunately, things are not always the case.
We all make this mistake in interpreting our lives. All of us attribute the role of protagonist and treat, even unconsciously, those around us as supporting actor. We always forget that we in our turn to reality assume secondary roles in the life of every person we meet and of which, from our subjective, we see just a part of the shoulder in our own movie.
Maybe that's why very often make blunders, sometimes even death. We persist in believing that, by protagonists, we do not run no danger because the pace does not provide narrative twists in this sequence, nothing can go because the finish is very distant, when it comes, will be dramatic, exciting, and epic " definitive" as the departure of Frodo the end of "The Return of the King "or as Don Quixote which transfers to the overwhelming power of reality after a life controlled by the imagination.
I think it would be nice if we started planting of always looking at everything from our subjective inevitably flawed, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the change of perspective is an option that did not include in our instruction booklet.

A big thank you to Brian Michael Bendis that, in the beautiful " Goldfish ', made me discover the story above.
